Why is Obama trying to make illegals citizens?

Is it political? I think so. sure illegals are looking for a better life here, but only through due legal process should it be allowed. Mr Obama needs voters to vote for him as the majority of clear minded americans would never do so. What a clever way to get voters. He can not only say it is for the benefit of the people but gain stronger political footing in the process. I do not like deceptive politicians. I do not like those who misuse their high office for political gain.
