8500 RAM running at 1333 MHz?

PC-8500 Ram is DDR2-1066...OR...DDR3-1066...many "factory" computers have ram lower that the accepted norm for the mother board...by staying under the limit of 1333 it pretty much insures the ram will work and the factory doesn't have to spend time and money "tweaking" every machine to work at top speed. Then too..factory Bios chips are NOT the same as the ones you can get on the commercial over-the-counter boards...they save bucks there too! I've seen many "factory" machines that just couldn't handle the "advertised" top ram speed. Its an accepted business practice (by the "factory's" not us!) You could try putting in a stick of 1333 and try it...no guaranty it will work. and no the factory doesn't OC anything...again that would take time and money.
