There is a term to t-shirts that look like something else, for instance, button down shirts. What is it?

I remember I saw one in a fashion blog once - a t-shirt that has a print on it, and it looked like a button down striped shirt with a handkerchief in the pocket and all. It was so cool but I can't seem to find anything like it. I remember there was a french term for it but can't remember what it is!
