What do active labor contractions feel like?

I remember labor from when I went into preterm labor but they stopped it before it got to horribly bad. So I'm curious as to what to expect. I'm due to be induced in two weeks since saturday is my due date. I really want to be in as favorable a area as possible for induction. I am currently 3cm 50% effaced and baby in station -2. I doubt that it's changed since tuesday since I have still yet to even feel a braxton hicks contraction this week. What would the beginning labor contractions feel like compared to active labor contractions?
