What kind of bug is this no picture?

ok so my cat caught this big bug bout 3 inches it crawls like a moth that has no wings or tiny ones and has black and red stripes it was freaky lookin I wanna know what it was but it got away before I could get my camera a name or picture with a name would b nice so I can figure out what it was
